Wainuiomata Marae Trust Booking Process

If you require the marae for tangihanga (funeral) purposes please contact Linda Olsen on 027 439 3413.

Please be aware that as a marae, tangihanga take precedence over all bookings. If the Marae needs to host a tangihanga, your event may be rescheduled if possible, and any payments made will be refunded promptly.

Step 1: Confirm the dates and submit your booking

Firstly, check to see if the dates you require are available on the calendar below.

Step 2: Pay a bond to confirm your booking

Once we have received your bond we will contact you to confirm your booking.

Step 3: We'll call you to set up an in-person meeting

A Marae custodian will contact you by phone to set up a time to visit the Marae for an in-person meeting and tour.

All prices are subject to change based on frequency and circumstance.

Bond

$250.00

All hirers are required to pay a bond of $250. This is fully refundable after departure, provided the Marae Custodian confirms that the departure checklist has been followed and completed.

Day Hire

$300.00

Community Groups, Whanau

Includes use of the kitchen facilities, whare kai (seats 150) and wharenui. The duration of a Day Hire is 8 hours with clean up completed within this time as well.

Corporate, Universities

Includes use of the kitchen facilities, whare kai (seats 150) and wharenui. The duration of a Day Hire is 8 hours with clean up completed within this time as well.

Day & Night Hire

$600.00

Community Groups, Whanau

Includes use of the kitchen facilities, whare kai (seats 150) and wharenui with a sleeping capacity of 75 adults comfortably. The duration of a Day & Night Hire is 24 hours. This cost also covers linen use.

Includes use of the kitchen facilities, whare kai (seats 150) and wharenui with a sleeping capacity of 75 adults comfortably. The duration of a Day & Night Hire is 24 hours. This cost also covers rubbish disposal, linen use and laundry service.
